- Need help getting an existing t-shirt design separation to work?
For years the artists at GOdzyn have been doing just that. We understand what makes a screen-printed t-shirt design a masterpiece and how to make that design jump off the shirt.
T-shirt Design
Designing a t-shirt is more than just putting some art on a shirt. It is a process that requires many important steps and the knowledge of ink and how it melds with the garment.
In Our many years of experience we have found that it all starts with a design idea. This idea must be planned in advance with the knowledge of how it is going to be printed. We make sure everything is perfect from start to finish. Print size, number of colors available for print, shirt colors and print locations.
T-shirt Design Separations
Ever try to nail your comp on press and no matter how hard you try something is always missing. Lack of detail, missing colors, poor blends, dot gain, moire patterns, ink migration and unnecessary colors in final separations are just a few problems facing a separator on press. That is why it is called "Simulated Process". The whole process takes an understanding of how separations work from start to finish.
GOdzyn has more than 20 years of knowledge, not just in the art department, but also on the print floor and in the screen coating department.
Our knowledge of every step required to achieve a successful simulated process or illustrator vector separation, has many ingredients:
- Designing the original art
- Burning the screens
- Mixing and choosing the ink colors
- Setting the press, and selecting screen order
- Quality control and problem spotting
